There are 3 steps that must be completed to successfully register your team:
STEP 1: Read our Housekeeping Policy. It discusses photographs, behavior, liability, and parent information. Coaches, please make sure that each parent is aware of our policy BEFORE moving forward with registration. On the day of the event, coaches must submit a signed copy from each guardian/student before they can participate.
STEP 2: Complete the Team Registration Form and submit. Please follow the directions carefully.
STEP 3: A payment of $30.00 is required for each team . Payments are accepted though our PayPal link below.
After all three steps are confirmed as completed, each Coach will receive a PDF document discussing DMV's Battle of the Books in further detail.
All information collected will only be used for the purpose of DMV's Battle of the Books and will not be given to any other source. Please note that after a payment has been made, there will be no refunds. Monies collected are immediately integrated into the DMV's Battle of the Books Event.

This house keeping policy discusses all matters concerning DMV's Battle of the Books Competition. A signed copy of this policy will need to be submitted at the sign-in table on the day of the event. A PDF copy is available below for your viewing. Please print out and complete for each student.
DMV's Battle of the books housekeeping policy
Thank you for participating in DMV'S Battle of the Books! In order for this event to run smoothly, we are going to need your help. Listed below are the following guidelines for students. Please discuss with your student/team before signing.
CONDUCT
I will act responsibly by doing things that are expected of me in a consistent and timely manner.
I will respect those who are in positions of authority and adhere to the guidelines given by DMV's Battle of the Books.
I will avoid non-compliant behaviors such as arguing, begging, complaining, fighting, whining, shouting, or talking when I have been asked to listen.
I will leave my cell phone at home or with an adult during competition time.
I will stay with my team members, coach, or an adult at all times. I will not wander off into areas that are not designated for this event.
SPORTSMANSHIP
I will be respectful to others by treating them in the same the way that I want to be treated. I will use proper manners and speak appropriately to others. I will respect the property, privacy, and feelings of others.
I will keep myself and others safe by avoiding behaviors that are aggressive, destructive, or dangerous.
I will keep my hands to myself.
I will present a positive attitude instead of being negative, pessimistic, rude, or verbally abusive.
I will not engage in taunting or bullying others, but will give praises instead for the hard work and accomplishments made by each student.
I will not blame others, but will accept that everyone is doing their best.
I will be patient, honest, fair, and courteous to everyone.
HOUSEKEEPING
I will treat the event building with respect.
I will clean up any messes that I make.
I will refrain from behavior that may cause disturbances to this event (ex. pulling fire alarms, loud music, writing on walls, etc…)
I will be responsible for fixing any damage that I create.
I understand that I am solely responsible for my own behavior. I will take responsibility for my actions, accept my consequences, and learn from my mistakes.
